For workshops with a store

One system for the bay and the store

Spanr runs a workshop and its spare parts store as one business. Parts are reserved and issued from the store to the job card, their cost lands on the job, the invoice bills them with GST, and the books show profit per job, per vehicle and per branch.

What you get

The store and the workshop, finally talking to each other

Issue to the job card

Reserve parts against a job, issue and return them, and stop the counter selling stock a job is waiting for.

Cost on every job

Parts at stock valuation cost, outside work at the vendor's bill, labour as billed: each job shows its margin.

One customer record

Counter sales, jobs, vehicles, balances and overdue bills in one customer view.

Branches

Several branches with their own stock, numbering series and P&L, under one set of books.

Loyalty and maintenance contracts

Points earned on invoices and redeemed as a labour discount, and contracts that cover visits and labour.

Reports across both

Daily summary, sales by module, profitability by item, brand and category, technicians, and stock ageing.

Questions

Asked by owners like you

Do counter sales and workshop invoices share one invoice series?

Each document type has its own gap-free series per financial year, and a branch can have its own series. Both post to the same books.

Can a part be reserved for a job?

Yes. A reservation holds stock for the job, and every other sale or transfer has to fit within what is left.

Can I start with one module and add the other?

Yes. Customers, history and ledgers stay where they are when you add the workshop or the store.
